【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssheetsteelincoilsandcutlengthscoatedwithlead-tinalloy(ternemetal,see3.2.3)bythehot-dipprocess.Thismaterialiscommonlyknownasterneandisusedwhereeaseofsolderabilityandadegreeofcorrosionresistancearedesirable.Itisespeciallysuitablewhereresistancetogasolineisrequired.Terne-coatedsheetisalsousedforstamping,wherethecoatingactsasalubricantinthedie,lesseningdifficultiesindrawing.Theweightofcoating,alwaysexpressedastotalcoatingonbothsides,shallbespecifiedinaccordancewithTable1.1.2MaterialfurnishedunderthisspecificationshallconformtotheapplicablerequirementsofthelatestissueofSpecificationA924/A924M,unlessotherwiseprovidedherein.1.3Terne-coatedsteelisavailableinanumberofdesignations,types,andgrades.1.4Thisspecificationisapplicabletoordersineitherinch-poundunits(asA308)orSIunits(asA308M).Valuesininch-poundandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyequivalent.Withinthetext,SIunitsareshowninbrackets.Eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.5Unlesstheorderspecifiesthex201C;Mx201D;designation(SIunits),theproductshallbefurnishedtoinch-poundunits.1.6Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes,excludingthoseintablesandfigures,shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
