【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinestermsusedtodescribetheappearanceofthevisiblesurfacesoftoothflanksorthedamagethatcanbeobservedongears.Foreachterm,aclearconcisedescriptionoftherelevantgear-toothsurfaceisgiven,includingmentionofthesignificantfeaturestobeobserved,whichcanfacilitateidentificationofthetypeofconditionindicated.Eachdescriptionofappearanceconstitutesaclassifi-cationofatypeofconditionofageartoothorgear-toothdamage.Eachdescriptionisaccompaniedbyoneormoreillustrationstoshowdifferenceswhichcanexistwithdifferentgeartoothgeometries.Commentsaregivenwitheachillustrationtofacilitatetheinterpretation.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesonlythetermin-ologywhichisintendedtohelptherecognitionandreportingoftheappearanceandconditionofgearsafteraperiodofoperation.Neithercausesnorpreventivemeasuresforanyconditiondescribedarediscussed.NOTE—TheEnglishandcorrespondingFrenchtextsappearinadjacentcolumnstoenablethisInternationalStandardtobeusedasabilingualglossaryfortheappearanceofgearteeth.ThisInternationalStandardisarrangedsothatonthesamepagethereare:—adefinitionoftheappearanceofthegeartoothwithcorrespondingexplanations,and—anillustrationofatypicalexampleofeachwithassociatedcomments.
