【摘要】:Apparentshearstrengthdeterminedbythistestmethodisusefulforqualitycontrolandspecificationpurposes.Itisalsoapplicabletoresearchanddevelopmentprogramsconcernedwithinterlaminar-shearstrength.Theapparentshearstrengthobtainedbythistestmethodcannotbeusedfordesignpurposes,butcanbeutilizedforcomparativetestingofcompositematerials,ifallfailuresareinhorizontalshear.Itisrecommendedthatcontrolsamplesbefabricatedwitheachresearchtestseriesandthatcarebeusedtocompareeachsetofcontrolswithcorrespondingtestseriesrunatdifferenttimes.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheapparenthorizontalshearstrengthoffiberreinforcedplasticrods.Thespecimenisashortbeamintheformoflengthsofpultrudedrods.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoalltypesofparallel-fiber-reinforcedplasticrodsamples.1.2Thistestmethodisprimarilyusedforqualitycontrolandspecificationpurposes(see4.1).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
