【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesdatausefulfor(1)estimatingstressrelease,(2)thedevelopmentofproperannealingschedules,and(3)estimatingsettingpointsforseals.Accordingly,itsusageiswidespreadthroughoutmanufacturing,research,anddevelopment.Itcanbeutilizedforspecificationacceptance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheannealingpointandthestrainpointofaglassbymeasuringtheviscouselongationrateofafiberoftheglassunderprescribedcondition.1.2Theannealingandstrainpointsshallbeobtainedbyfollowingthespecifiedprocedureaftercalibrationoftheapparatususingfibersofstandardglasseshavingknownannealingandstrainpoints,suchasthosespecifiedandcertifiedbytheNationalInstituteofStandardsandTechnology(NIST)(seeAppendixX1).1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
