【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverelectricutilitymeterswhichmeasure,monitor,record,transmit,orreceiveelectricalenergygenerationorconsumptioninformation.Monitoredparametersmayincludevoltage,current,power,apparentpower,reactivepower,powerfactor,energy,kW-hours,varhours,andtimeofuse.1.2Meterscoveredbythisoutlineofinvestigationmaybeprovidedwithoneortwo-waycommunication,bymeansofpowerlinecarriersignals,telephone,cable,wirelesscommunication,orothermethods.1.3Thesemetersmayadditionallyprovidesignalsforthecontrolofelectricalloadsorelectricalpowergenerationequipmentinresponsetosignalsreceivedfromtheutilityorlocalcommunicationnetworks.1.4Theserequirementscoversocketmountedplug-in(TypeS)utilitymeters,andnon-socketmounted,bottomconnected(TypeA)utilitymeters,intendedforinstallationinordinary(non-classified)locationsundertheexclusivecontroloftheutility.TheserequirementsalsocoverTypeAandTypeSmetersthatarenotintendedfortheexclusivecontroloftheservingutility.1.5Theserequirementsdonotcoverequipmentintendedastestequipmentorequipmentintendedtomakemeasurementsforanalysisinalaboratorysetting.1.6Theserequirementsdonotcoverequipmentintendedforinstallationinpanelboardsotherthanequipmentintendedtomountintoametersocketthatisintegraltoapanelboard.
