【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthequalificationofprocedures,welders,andoperatorsforthefabricationandrepairofsteelcastingsbyelectricarcwelding.1.1.1QualificationsofaprocedureandeitherorboththeoperatororwelderunderSectionIXoftheASMEBoilerandPressureVesselCodeshallautomaticallyqualifytheprocedureandeitherorboththeoperatororwelderunderthispractice.P-numberdesignationsintheASMEgroupingofbasemetalsforqualificationmaybedifferentthanthecategorynumberslistedinTable1.RefertoAppendixX1foracomparisonofASTMcategorynumberswiththecorrespondingASMEP-Numberdesignations.1.2Eachmanufacturerorcontractorisresponsiblefortheweldingdonebyhisorganizationandshallconductthetestsrequiredtoqualifyhisweldingprocedures,welders,andoperators.1.3Eachmanufacturerorcontractorshallmaintainarecordofweldingprocedurequalificationtests(Fig.1),welderoroperatorperformancequalificationtests(Fig.2),andweldingprocedurespecification(Fig.3),whichshallbemadeavailabletothepurchaser''srepresentativeonrequest.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4.1SIUnits8212;Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
