【摘要】:Thelaboratorypreparationofgasblendsofknowncompositionisrequiredtoprovideprimarystandardsforthecalibrationofchromatographicandothertypesofanalyticalinstrumentation.1.1Thispracticecoversalaboratoryprocedureforthepreparationoflow-pressuremulticomponentgasblends.Thetechniqueisapplicabletotheblendingofcomponentsatpercentlevelsandcanbeextendedtolowerconcentrationsbyperformingdilutionsofapreviouslypreparedbaseblend.Themaximumblendpressureobtainableisdependentupontherangeofthemanometerused,butordinarilyisabout101kPa(760mmHg).Componentsmustnotbecondensableatthemaximumblendpressure.1.2Thepossiblepresenceofsmallleaksinthemanifoldblendingsystemwillprecludeapplicabilityofthemethodtoblendscontainingpartpermillionconcentrationsofoxygenornitrogen.1.3Thispracticeisrestrictedtothosecompoundsthatdonotreactwitheachother,themanifold,ortheblendcylinder.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
