【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversextrudedpolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)rod,heavy-walledtubing,andbasicshapesmanufacturedfromthePTFEresinofSpecificationD4894andreprocessedPTFEresin(asdefinedinGuidesD5033andD7209).1.2Thespecificationcoversallsizesofrod,tubing,andbasicshapeswithawallthicknessof1.6mm(1/16in.)orgreater.ThesematerialsmustbemadewhollyfromPTFEandproducedinaccordancewithgoodcommercialramextrusionpractices.Note18212;ThisspecificationandISO/DIS13000-1(1997)andISO/DIS13000-2(1997)differinapproach,however,dataobtainedusingeitheraretechnicallyequivalent.Note28212;ForcompressionmoldedPTFEmaterials,seeSpecificationD3294.MaterialthatcanbecertifiedtoSpecificationD3294maybesubstitutedforSpecificationD1710,howeverthereverseinnottrue.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunits,asdetailedinIEEE/ASTMSI10aretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainstothetestmethodsportion,Section12,onlyofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
